"The Final Cut" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

I'm sure you know the full title of this one is "The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. It is not a very complicated song, it just has 3 chords Em - C - D, but it is fun to play since it's a comfortable tempo in 6/8 time.

I couldn't help myself trying to sing along the harmonies while I was playing it, but if it bothers you you can pan the audio to the right and you won't hear my crappy singing anymore.

Check out the tab for this here.

Thanks for watching and please let me know what you would like to hear next.

"Apollo I: The Writing Writer" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

Track 6 of the album and a big favorite of mine. As usual Mic Todd does a fantastic job of making the parts slightly different and keeping it very interesting in the process. I'm not much of a slapper but I gave it my best :)

"Crossing the Frame" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

I had a fun time learning this song, Mic Todd plays a very melodic and funky bass line throughout. There is a lot of movement in the bass during the verses and pre-choruses, and then it all goes down to basics for the choruses, allowing the vocal melody to stand out more at that point. Another really cool track. You can find a pdf of the bass tab here.

Please let me know what song should I do next!

"Eraser" from The Color Before The Sun

This is the second song from the album The Color Before The Sun.

As is typical of Coheed songs this one is trickier than it seems. There are a lot of time signature changes, which makes the choruses in particular quite fun to play. Zach Cooper does a great job of varying all the fills so that there is nothing being repeated here.

"Justice In Murder" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow

This is probably my favourite song off this album. It's very catchy and melodic, and the bass line is interesting. As usual, Michael Todd kept changing the parts slightly so as to not be boring or robotic. It took quite a bit of listening carefully for me to get the transcription as close as possible to the original, and you can find that tab here.

Please let me know what you think and leave me a comment with your choice for my next cover.

Thanks!

"Pretelethal" from The Afterman: Descension

This is the first song off of Descension. It's not very long or complicated, but it has a cool ukelele part!

Enjoy and let me know what you would like me to do next!

"Once Upon Your Dead Body" from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

This song exemplifies one of my favourite things about Coheed: their ability to layer catchy melodies on top of more catchy melodies to create an amazing overload of melodic goodness haha. The bass part is not too complicated, but as usual Mr Todd does a great job of varying the fills to keep it interesting throughout.
